I am a die hard fan of oven roasted veggies, of any variety. But when I wanted to add some greens to my homemade frittata dinner, I realized that I didn't have enough time to cook some up. Back up plan? Saute those puppies in some bacon grease!!
I used a mixture of fresh asparagus along with frozen broccoli and cauliflower, and it turned out so excellent.
When the bacon grease was hot, I threw my diced veggies into the pan along with a bit of salt and some garlic powder. The smell was intoxicating.
Then, I just continued to stir, saute, mix, and toss until they were golden-y brown-y and ready to go! YES, and YUM!
